Blog 1_ A country I would like to visit

go
The reason I
would like to travel to this country is because nowadays, sits the vestiges of
Maya and Azteca culture and has monumental structures that reveal us the scale
of what they achieved; despite all the attention we give only to Greco-Roman
culture, and of course, this is extremely necessary for understanding us as Latin-Americans.
In Mexico, besides, there’s a lot of organize crime that affect all the social classes and it’s related, very closely, with drug trafficking. Great drug lords have created “cartels” that have already taken control of important cities, such us Sinaloa and Tijuana since 1960’s. This is something that many people would run away but I am practically attracted to this issue to explore it and see how it works, how this affect vulnerable people, what governments do for people in this situation; developing strategies of taking down these operations or not.
And
speaking about the “good” stuff, it’s known the pyramids that served as spiritual
center for Maya and Azteca people in the ancient times. Many great imperators lived
a life of conquering near minor civilizations that created this enormous empire
that will last until the Europeans came to destroy everything in the XV century.vulnerable people, what governments do for people in this situation;
developing strategies of taking down these operations or not.
Anyways, I don’t
want to live, like, forever there, but I would stay for a couple of months (or
a year), I’d really like studying a semester (they have a great anthropology department
at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) or travel for vacation or
working in some kind of project in the future, I don’t know yet because I know
there’s so much to do.
That’s all have to say by now about this country. Maybe I forget some stuff but I think, I say the most notable and the first things that came to my mind haha.
